Ruth served as the Group Legal Director with the executive board of Reckitt and Colman and later worked as group legal Counsel with Reckitt Benckiser.  In these roles she was involved in a number of group mergers and acquisitions, including the acquisitions of the Ciba Geigy Consumer Products Division and the Lysol Brand from L&F Corporation.  Most recently, she worked on the merger with Benckiser.

Ruth has great experience in the development, protection and defence of brand related intellectual property and its use as a significant tool for competitive advantage.

She has also been a key team member at the most senior level for strategic planning, product development, innovation and organisational development programmes. She has worked on multidisciplinary teams at all levels of the business; from advising the CEO and board members on major international projects to advising younger product managers on advertising and product design.
